Q: What should I wear to the first session?
A: Comfortable clothing that you’re comfortable moving and exercising in.
Q: What type of information should I provide before the first appointment?
A: If you’re using insurance, then we need: your name, address, phone number, email address, insurance card, and the name of the policy holder. If you’re coming in for a motor vehicle or workers compensation case, then we also need the claim # (instead of an insurance card), insurance company, the insurer’s fax number, insurer’s address, and the date of the injury.
Q: Do you work with athletes?
A: Yes, Dr.Mike Makher has extensive experience working with athletes from the youth level (as young as 8) to collegiate athletes and those at the elite professional level (this includes Olympians and Gold Medalists representing the US). He trains and treats athletes both in person and remotely based on their exact needs.
Q: Do you work with people who have Ehlers Danlos/Hypermobility concerns?
A: Yes, Dr.Mike Makher has been working with people with Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSDs), including but not limited to multiple forms of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), for the overwhelming majority of his career. He provides care to people with HSDs/EDS across the country and even the world (he has multiple clients in Europe working with him remotely).
Q: I just want to get in better shape, can you help me?
A: Absolutely, Dr.Mike Makher has worked with clients from 6 to 103 years of age with varying backgrounds from those who have never exercised to those who are looking to enhance their already busy exercise routines.
